Having breastfeeding troubles

We are 2 days home from the hospital. Baby was constantly wanting to feed and always seemed hungry. My nipples were sore and bled at every feeding. I was ready to give up but decided to hurt pumping. I was making about .5 ounces every 2-3 hours and baby seemed a little more satisfied.

Now his stomach seems upset all the time and I can’t get him to latch to feed. I’m stuck pumping all the time. Did I completely mess up breast feeding for me and my baby or is there something I can do?

He had a power latch at the hospital. The lactation consultant said he was a great nurser.

I can’t see a consultant until Friday. Please don’t let that be your advice to me.
