He's a smoker and beer drinker. anyone with a similar spouse and gotten pregnant? I know I can because I have 2 already. His father and brother has also bother fathered children. thoughts?

Of course it is always best for everyone to decrease or even stop alcohol intake while trying to get pg and smoking can also cause changes in sperm motility and numbers etc. I would encourage temporary changes at least while you guys are TTC. Good luck to you.

Unlike women, healthy men don't have a "time" in their life when they are no longer fertile. There are many men into their 60's and older who have fathered children!

I'm 30 and my hubby is 43, 13 yr gap, we got pregnant with no problem. As long as his stuff works there wouldn't be a reason the age matters much. There is a correlation between men age 45 or more and an increase in autism...
