Trigger too early??

I wonder if my FS is triggering me too early? I had a scan this morning (Thursday) and I had 33 follicles but only 7 were over 15mm and I’m triggering tonight for EC on Saturday. I would like to get a few more eggs in collection given that 50-80% are expected to fertilise and 50% are likely to make it to day 5. So best case I will have 2 eggs? Does this sound right? My fs said at my last appointment I’m high risk ohss and I’m worried she is triggering me too early due to her concern of ohss. Any advice would be helpful I’m just feeling so unsure.

I’ve heard the ohss is nothing to mess around with. That’s why they are triggering... is this your first round? Sometimes it takes more than 1 to figure out the right protocol. Are you choosing ICSI? More than half should fertilize with ICSI, although my results were around 55%, but we have an egg quality issue.

Anything 17mm or over will very likely give a mature egg.  How high are your E2 levels?  Are they triggering you with Lupron?  I was high risk for OHHS and was monitored daily,  the goal was for even growth of 15-20 follies only to get better quality.  On day of trigger we saw 15 follies at 18-24mm.  They retrieved 26 eggs,  18 were mature,  so a couple of the 16-17mm gave us mature eggs,  the less then 16 were all
Immature at retrieval. My RE will not trigger if the lead follies are not at least 18 mm.  My E2 at trigger day was 3867 and we used Lupron trigger with a mini booster of pregnyl.  5 days of ganirelix after the retrieval.  I was back to bormal 3-4 days after and no OHHS.
