Any ones child have a cough that lasted almost the whole year on and off? What is it?or what helped

Drs have tried antibiotics, I’ve tried nebulizer, allergy medicine, cough medicines and nothing. My daughter is 4 and I need to help her I don’t know what else to do. Sometimes it’s realllly mucusy and sometimes dry. She coughs a lot at night I also tried the cool mist humidifier

Does she wheeze at all when she breaths? 
Could be environmental allergies or food allergy related too. Does she eat a lot of dairy? If I were you, I would start her on an elimination diet to rule out any food sensitivities, but then again, I’m kinda a hippie kind of mom, lol. In the meantime, honey and/or pineapple juice both help soothe coughing. Good luck! I hope she feels better soon!

My son’s cough has been going off and on for about 9 months now. No diagnosis because he’s still under 2 but I’m guessing some kind of asthma. It gets sooooo much worse when he’s got a cold and at night. Nebulizer helps sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. Last time it was really bad a dose of ibuprofen made it go away (he was teething at the time that’s why I gave him ibuprofen, might be a coincidence he stopped coughing for days afterward but I don’t personally think so).

My little brother had this probable as a kid and still has it into adulthood. When he was checked they just said it was permanent post nasal drip. He is constantly coughing day and night. Sometimes it sounds like he needs to cough out phlegm.

My daughters is actually due to nasal reflux. Had to have a swallow study done. But that’s what it is!

it could be childhood asthma my son has it still on and off and nebulizer wouldn't help only an inhaler did and he started that at age 3 and get is 7 now and only needs it certain time of the year and if he is going to be excessive with his running on a very hot or very cold day

My daughters cough hasn’t lasted a year because she is only 6 months but I think we are going on 2 or 3 months of a cough, I’ve lost track of time cause it feels like it’s been forever 🤦🏼‍♀️ 
Seems to get worse after she nurses or is laying down. Doctor said it’s probably due to drainage sooo nothing much we can do at this point
