What to ask RE about IUI?

Hi ladies! My husband and I are entering our 11th cycle TTC naturally. We’ve seen the RE and are both fine. We will be going to IUI if nothing has happened by August. What specific questions should I be asking the RE? I feel like I’ve educated myself from all this research and reading. But I want to ask practice specific questions. Also any suggestions for things to prep my body for IUI? I’m already taking CoQ10, Vit D, Vit E, and prenatals.

I would ask about what medications they are going to suggest for you and if it’s injectables how to administer them. We had to take a class first to learn about the different shots and how to use them. I would ask about timing. Some REs do 24 hrs after trigger and some do 36. Some do 1 iui and some do 2 24 hrs apart. It can be a lot but I always asked many questions so I could feel as prepared as I could be. At the end of July we will be going through it again hoping to have #2. Baby dust to you!

Have them check your  Fallopian tubes. I did 2 IUIs without checking and mine are blocked.

I would ask about success rates specific to you. I was told IUI will increase odds by 5%. My friend was told there was only about a 1% chance it would work so was advised against it.
