Cloth diapers?

Question

Any mommies out there using (or have used in the past) cloth diapers? I hear the start up is expensive. I'm not so concerned with the cost, but I didn't realize there were so many options. Help!

We're going to be using GroVia Hybrid diapers which will grow with the baby from newborn to potty training days. It's about $500 for the whole time the baby will be in diapers so it saves thousands of dollars! We will be installing a sprayer on the toilet and using disposable inserts when camping or hiking.

We are cloth diapering with this baby! I watched a TON of YouTube videos before deciding what kind I want to try. It really helped a ton to understand the differences.  We got some of each kind that we want to try out.  I got a lot from eBay for cheap. Some are used, but I don't mind because most mommas treat their diapers really well. 
I also watched for sales and got some from zulily :)

We did disposables for kid #1, and we are doing cloth/reusable for kid #2. Still using the diaper genie pail w trashbag, then throwing into wash. I didn't watch any videos, just searched on Amazon. Got charcoal inserts (nonsnap) and cute covers with adjustable snaps newborn to size 40lbs, depending on Sm/Med, Med/Lg. I'm sure we'll test other brands on occassion as we go along but pretty hopeful about our choice. :-)

I am having twins and honestly we just need to save money where we can! So I am using BumGenius 4.0 they are fully adjustable from 8-35 lbs! We are going to use disposables when we are away from the house for easy use. They are pocket diapers so extremely easy to use!

I also checked out a lot of YouTube videos and finally decided on cloth [MamaNatural, ObbsandLala, We Are The Strange]. I've recently been doing research on pinterest and reading blogs. I visited a cloth diaper shop [the only one in Hawaii] and the owners are very helpful. They let you see and feel every kind of diaper that they have and tell you pros and cons [personal and customer experience]. They also have a 90day rental program so you can try a little bit of everything. I'm looking into NB lil joey's, prefolds with covers, Flip, AI1 and AI2... just gotta get my husband to visit the shop so he can experience and choose, too.

I hear ya, Stephanie.  We did disposable the first time around...and I think my mom who will be watching the baby) will also stick with disposable. I just want to see what all the rave is about. :)

There are so many options it's almost over whelming. I'm interested in trying to use cloth for baby 2 also. I never thought I would consider this but my daughter broke out all the time with disposable so I figure I'll give this  a shot. Let me know what you decide on or if you find any good info out there. I'm just casually searching at this point.

Im sewing my own.. Were using all in one pocket diapers... Its cheaper to make them if you can sew
