How much breast milk?

Question

How much expresses breast milk should a 3 month baby get at one feeding?  I just started back to work and my husband fed the baby 6 oz at a time because he said he was still hungry after 3 oz. is this too much?  He ate more than I was able to pump so I am concerned about my milk production.

My daughter was drinking 3oz every 3 hours at 3 months old. 
Be sure he’s paced feeding to protect your breastfeeding relationship.  It’s much easier to guzzle down a bottle so you can definitely overfeed

Nanny here. My. Boss gives me 3.5oz every 2-2.5 hours for her little one. Sometimes he needs more and I feed him more. But often just the 3.5 oz is perfect for him.

He can’t be pace feeding that’s a ton at one time!! Kellymom.com has a great section with tips on what to do if your baby is drinking a lot more than usual while away from you. My son was with my husband one day when my son was about 3 1/2 hours and he drank 7.6oz total in 8.5 hours.
