How Were You Diagnosed With Endometriosis?

I think I have this, my mom does and I just really really feel like I do as well... I have a pelvic ultrasound today but I’m afraid it’s not going to show anything and they’re going to have to put me under & cut me open just to see....

My doctor did an ultrasound and some scan and told me I have endo and pcos. She referred me to a gyno and the gyno said a diagnoses comes after a laparoscopy. When I research it, its 50/50. Some say laparoscopy other say ultrasounds and pelvis exams can find it to. Theres not a bit of me that doesnt know I have it. I havent gone in for a laparoscopy because in all the support groups and blogs I follow, a lot of women said it could do some damage. But then there are a lot of women that said it helps. It's all gray and I'm confused too. But I'm thinking it depends on the severity.
