A couple of months ago my boyfriend forgot to invite me to 2 parties. I’m a bit of an outsider when it comes to his friends, they all went to school together and all the boys girlfriends also went to school together so there already friends.

He told me he forgot about me until people asked him at the parties where I was and then told them “I forgot to invite her”

The group of guys and girls often go for drinks together and I’m never invited, I mentioned that it made me feel a bit unwanted and telling me he forgot about me isn’t a great feeling.

He told me he was really sorry and he’d invite me to every other party this year. (He’s invited me to 2 out of 6) Tonight he’s going out for drinks with the gang again and once again I’m not invited. I don’t want to pester or annoy him or ask why he’s not inviting me. It’s a public bar, anybody can go but I don’t wish to invite myself if he doesn’t want me there. We’ve been together a year, does anyone have advice on what to do? Or what you would do in this situation?

It doesnt seem like a big deal but when it happens over and over, I can’t help but think he doesn’t want me there.
