Belly Band or maternity pants?

I’m just getting to the point where my bloat doesn’t allow me to button my pants. Maternity jeans are pricey and I am cheap, haha. Has anyone used a belly band? Do you prefer that to maternity jeans or should I just bite the bullet and get maternity jeans?

I've tried both; favorite so far is the maternity pants that go under the bump with longer shirts. The belly band is a good option, but sometimes the pants you try to wear them with are just too uncomfortable unbuttoned (mine pinched quite a bit as the day wore on).

I am using belly bands. I like my jeans (have spent a lot of money on them) and am not emotionally ready to make the move to maternity. So far, they work great!

When I went shopping for a Bella band, I got some really good advice. You will buy it, and I will last a few weeks, but you will have to go and get maternity pants at some point. So you might as well skip the middle part! 
I just got some clearance jeans at motherhood maternity for $17- so there are good prices out there!

Belly bands will get you through your second trimester for sure. By the third your hips and butt may widen and you’ll need stretchier options. My first pregnancy was also a winter baby so when I got enormous I wore leggings with long tops. I live in the south where it’s summer 10 months out of the year and was still comfortable. I’m 12 weeks and have done a hair tie on my jeans because my old maternity jeans are stretched at the over the belly elastic and fall down. 😂

I have both. The band's only worked until about 20 weeks because my hips widened and I gained weight in my legs so it felt like I was going to rip the zipper in my pants.They did help for that in between time when my bump isn't big enough foe the maternity pants. Now they make maternity ones with just a stretchy band not a full panel and those are great for the whole time. I actually used my belly bands postpartum in the shower over my boobs because I nursed and the Water hurts your nipples.

I'm almost 11 weeks and have done just maternoty pants. some days I need them some days I dont lol darn bloat. I got mine on clearance at Kohls or Burlington and they haven't been bad priced (under $10) 😁 im glad i started buying early cuz i can stock up on clearance over time rather than rushing and buying stuff when i definitely need it.

I have both. Last pregnancy I barely wore the belly bands. Maternity jeans are soooo comfy and I gained a lot of weight 🙈😂. Just look for clearance!!
