11 days late...

So I'm 11 days late for AF and there dont seem to be signs of her coming anytime soon. i took a test on thursday and it was negative. I guess my question is how long does af need to be late before i get a positive test? Has anyone else had thid happen before? Any advise or comment is welcome. I just need some help. happy conceiving!!
