So my husband and I have decided to keep our daughters name a secret until birth (with the exception of our parents knowing) and some people seem more than irritated. It doesn’t really bother me too much, I guess I’m just curious as to why people seem to take it SO personal that we tell them “we’ve decided to keep her name a secret until she’s born” when they ask what we’re planning to name her.

We announced our pregnancy just shy of 12 weeks and announced her gender the day we found out so its not like we’re being secretive all around, we just like to keep some element of surprise and I personally think it’ll have more of an “awe how cute” factor when we post our first picture of her with her name.

Thoughts? Has anyone else experienced this?
