ok so im 17 days post partum, and I wanted to see how well I was healing down there, so I asked my husband to check for me. So when he got home he donned a pair of surgical gloves and gingerly looked for me. He said that the stitches were gone, which didnt surprise me because I knew they were gone 4 days ago when I showered, but also said that my tear hadnt healed together all the way and that i had a gash. So im freaking out because that prolly means i need to go get re-cut and then stitched back together right? which means a local anaesthetic and an extra month tacked onto my recovery time if not more. has this happened to anyone else? can you tell me your experiance? will it heal by itself? or am i screwed?
