Does First response work?

I was just wondering does first response really work? 
can it really detect a positive 6 days before you missed period? 
Has anyone used first response, got a negative but still ended up pregnant?

I tested the day of my period and it looked neg. Was about to throw it away when my husband said he saw something. Sure enough it was positive I just didn't have enough HTC for it to be obvious. While you can get an early pos I would wait until at least day of. You are less likely to get a false neg. Baby dust

I found out at 9 dpo using a dollar tree test then confirmed with frer so 5 days and closer to af is best

It can tell like 5 days before your period, but it is only like 60 percent accurate. The longer you wait the more accurate the results. I actually got a negative a week after my missed period, and I found out two weeks later I was preganent with my son. My doc said it is because I ovulate so late in my cycle.
