TTC and T1D

My husband and I are TTC. He is a type 1 diabetic. We just recently started "actively" trying, but we haven't been using any birth control for over a year. Due to nerve damage that is often cause by t1d, we were already aware that we may have trouble conceiving. We have also recently started trying the "saudafed trick". (Taking decongestant medicine to temporarily make the ejaculatory nerve work). Before this trick, he could orgasm, but the ejaculate was basically nonexistent. Does anyone else have any experience with TTC and T1D? It is beginning to feel like we are the only ones.
