To say my boyfriend's parents are highly toxic for him is an understatement. I understand that they share the same blood but that doesn't mean they aren't completely negative people otherwise. To have to sit there & watch my man get put down & told he's stupid & worthless and this that & the other & even have money stolen from him & I is SO HARD. My boyfriend is the most genuine sweetest person who wouldn't hurt a fly, & he just takes their shit. It's gotten to the point of me going into the bathroom & crying out of anger & frustration. I wish I could say something to his family because it seriously affects our relationship!!! It's been like this his whole life & he says he's "used to it" sadly. He's always been the family punching bag. I don't know what to do, or even if I can do anything. I don't wanna snap but I feel like if we don't figure something out soon it's bound to happen. We've tried so hard to develop a good relationship with them all & we just get shit on every time. Is there anyone else dealing with stuff like this and how do you even go about dealing with it?
