Bv? Help

So a couple months ago I got bv and I took medicine and it went away, but when I have sex with my boyfriend I sometimes get the symptoms again( fishy odor that is really strong, hurting while I have sex, itching, & burning when i pee)  but don’t have insurance to keep going to get it checked. How do you get bv? Could i get it from my boyfriend?

It is a over growth of bacteria in your vagina. It can be caused by a lot of different things.

It's a PH imbalance. I have had it once, and sometimes after sex and a few days after I swear I'm getting it again but then it goes away. I would wait to see if the symptoms clear up before going to the doctor again. My doctor told me it typically doesnt come back after the antibiotics but because I thought it was back she gave me a antibiotic again which I now keep in my cupboard just in case.
