today was day 1 of trying to potty train my 18 month old daughter. I know it is early but she is very very interested in the potty so we figured we would give it a shot. this morning went amazing! she peed on the floor a few times then went pee on the potty twice! this afternoon was a different story... my husband had her for an hour and a half to give me a break and she started getting afraid to pee on the potty! she still loves to sit on the potty just because or to read a book but if she has to pee now she is running around and whining and goes back and forth to the potty. it is clear that she knows she has to go and she knows where to go but she just doesn't want to go on the potty 😞 If you try to sit her on the potty she arches away from it and screams bloody murder and she just has been peeing on the floor. because she knows what to do and that she needs to go I still feel like she is ready but maybe I'm wrong? have any of you gone through this? is it too early? is this normal? any suggestions on what to do? we aren't forcing anything and everything is very positive even if she pees on the floor we just do a sing song of "where does the peepee go? where do we go peepee?" we were doing so well I don't know what changed!
