Birth Story! (I didn’t know I was in labor)

Today my little Octavia is one week! So now I feel it’s right to post my birth story! The day of June 15 I went into labor not knowing it was actually labor, I’ve had a few problems with going into the end of my pregnancy with pinched nerves, dehydration, and typical BH. Well towards the end of the day and that night I was in the worst pain thinking it was a pinched nerve I was a big girl and dealt with it. Well more into the night they got stronger and stronger I couldn’t sleep I was constantly walking back and forth because it was the only thing to help ease them I couldn’t lay down or sit without feeling like I was dying. My boyfriend was asleep and I didn’t want to wake him because he’s been so tired lately I wanted him to rest. After awhile I thought maybe id be in labor but brushed it off because I was 39 +1 weeks and I didn’t think she’d come early 🤷🏼‍♀️ plus I didn’t want to have to go to the hospital and it be nothing as I was in the hospital a few days before thinking I was in labor but I was just dehydrated. The morning comes around and I’m still hurting well it gets to be around 8:20 or 8:30 and I throw up so here I am thinking okay now I’ll be okay because every time I’d have a pinched nerve I’d throw up and then be okay well right after I go sit on the couch and watch my show and I have another contraction I get through it and my water breaks right after. I look down in shock and wake my boyfriend up so we can go and the first thing he asks is “are you sure” lmao I told him I’m pretty sure and pointed to my wet sweats lol. He was so calm and we got everything ready to go. Going down the interstate as I am screaming because it hurts so bad and he asks if I want him to speed 😂 no I want to get there in one piece lol. We finally get there and all situated and I asked if it was too late for an epidural they told me probably since I was already 8 cm dilated which freaked me out because the day before I had an appointment and I was only at a 3 so I had to go all natural! Not long after they tell me to try to push to ease the contractions so I did as family came in to support me through it. Octavia Louise was born on June 16,2018 at 11:21 am 6 pounds 15 ounces 21 inches long and healthy as can be! She is so damn precious and so beautiful and mommy and daddy are so blessed to have her here! She is one week today and her due date was yesterday! I may only be barley 18 but I’ve done so much for this little girl already and I’m going to be the best mommy I can be to give her the best life possible.
