Does it run in the family?

My mom had me 8 days early and my mother in law had both her sons 2 weeks early. Just wondering if you and/or your partner came early/late and if you gave birth early/late as well. Obviously it’s not scientific but I just wanted to see what the ladies on here said!

I spoke to my OB about it because my boyfriend and all his brothers were preemies, and I was right on time, so we we're thinking ours would be early, but my OB said it's not genetic and just depends on the woman and her body

My mom had me a week late and my brother a week early. I had one 11 weeks early and the other 5 weeks early. If it runs in families I got screwed over.

No every woman and pregnancy are different and usually with most first time mothers you will have a long pregnancy with long labor and need to have your water broken. Some ppl just get lucky

My mom had me a week late. My first two were born at 37.5 weeks and my twins were born at 36 weeks. I don't think your parents genes have anything to do with it. I think each woman is different.

My mom was late with all of us (not sure on specifics), one sister went right to 40 weeks with all 3 babies, the other sister went to 42 weeks with her 2 babies. My baby came early at 37 weeks. 🤷🤷🤷

My mom had 4 off us. One over a week late, one on due date, one 5days early and one a day late. I was induced on my dd and little one didn’t seem too excited to come at the time so I think I would’ve been a few days late for sure if they didn’t induce

Not sure. But I know me, my brother, my sister, and my oldest niece all had a premature babies.

They say it doesn’t but I believe it does. My husband’s mom had all four of her kids at almost 41 weeks and all of his sisters delivered at 41 weeks. My mom went 37, 38, 34, then 36. I had my kids at 37, 38, 38 (went into preterm labor at 32 & 36 weeks but they were able to stop it) so we’ll see when this one decides to come.
