I’m 43 years old, and we’ve been trying to conceive baby #1 for the past 8 years. I am currently 25 days late, but I’ve been reluctant to take a pregnancy test (every other time I’ve been late the test has come back negative). My last period was unusual - it was a few days early, lighter than usual (really light), and didn’t last as long as it normally does (this all lead me to believe it could be implantation bleeding). Ever since that ended I’ve been experiencing hot flashes, off and on cramping, off and on sore boobs, and very frequent heart burn. I keep putting off making a doctors appointment because I keep expecting my period to begin. The hot flashes have started to slow down, but they still have me thinking this may be perimenopause. I’m going to be calling my doctor Monday morning so I can finally get this all figured out. Anyone else experience something like this?
