Chronic, worsening hives
So, obviously I know I need to see a doctor, and I’m not replacing medical care with a question on a forum. Now that that is out of the way:
I’ve been dealing with chronic hives (my definition-recurring daily) for about a year now. When it started, it was only at night, at the same time every night. It was like that for the majority of the year. But now, it’s started happening during the day too, just not as bad. It’ll come and go. It’s WAY worse at night. Benadryl has helped up until recently. Now it doesn’t help, and the hives just spread rapidly.
I can’t narrow anything down as a cause. It happens at work, and at home, in the car, anywhere.
It’s happened no matter what I eat, or wear. No changes in laundry, etc.
I do drink a lot of diet sodas, so today I’m testing that.
I don’t have insurance, so I’ll have to start my medical search at an income based facility-but I know I’ll eventually have to see a dermatologist, which I don’t have the money for.
This is just getting scary, as I know hives can be an allergic reaction.
Has anyone dealt with this, or have any advice?
Thanks!
