Could we do it?

My bf makes 13 something an hour. About 1200-1500 every 2 weeks. I’m 17 and have a bad home life with my mother being verbally and emotionally abusive. I have really bad anxiety. 
Would we be able to get a place together for 800 a month? (That includes utilities) 
I plan to stay at home and do all the cleaning and cooking and everything to that nature so he only has to work and when he gets off he doesn’t have to worry about anything else.

You are overestimating his wages by a bit. I make $13 an hour and after taxes I’m bringing home barely $800 after two weeks. You are 17, if you want to move out that bad you need to get a job and contribute. Then maybe it’s doable.

Money might be a little tight but if you know how to manage the money correctly, you could probably make that work. You’d basically be living paycheck to paycheck almost. If anything you could always find a part time job to bring in a little extra cash for the savings/rainy day money. Just in case something financially happens you know you could cover it without a stress. Always keep that in mind.

No possible way. My husband and I moved in together when we were still in college and we both worked and brought home around $1500 every 2 weeks and it was still difficult. After utilities you need to think about groceries and other odds and ends that may show up unexpectedly like car issues, medical bills, etc. just because you are home to make sure he doesn’t need to worry about things getting done around the house, doesn’t mean other expenses won’t pop up. Get a job to help out.

You should at least get a part time job. Living on your own is very expensive. However, it is doable. Even on his paycheck. Things will be very tight and very stressful. That's why you should get a part time job. Even bringing in just an extra $200 a week on your part would make all the difference.

I make $13/hr. That's about $415/week after taxes - so about $1600/month.
I manage to pay for a $550 apartment, along with $150 in charter and utilities. I also have. $500/month student loan bill. Food is approximately $100/month. And I always reserve an additional $200/month for fun things like movies and such, leaving me $100/month for savings (it's usually more, as I typically overestimate my utilities bill!)
If neither of you have debt to pay off and he's bringing in $1600/month $800 for rent isn't that bad (it's less than my rent and loans combined!)
But keep in mind most financial analysts typically say to only use 1/3 your pre-taxed income as your rent. In your situation you two should pay no more than $650/month to rent.

He works a lot. Like 50 hours a week. He also gets overtime. I just want everyone to under that I have really bad anxiety. I can’t make an appointment to fix my meds right now because issues with my doctor and insurance.
