Keto + breastfeeding??

feeling pretty shitty about my body since having my son in April.. after seeing everyone's results with keto i wanted to try it but is it safe to do while breastfeeding?

I’ve breastfed while doing keto. It won’t affect your supply if you do it properly. And no, babies don’t need sugars in your breastmilk. That’s such crap.

There’s a group on facebook for pregnant and nursing women who are doing keto. It’s perfectly fine, and will not affect your supply if you keep hydrated and make sure to balance your electrolytes. Don’t believe women commenting on theory who have not done it.

I’d talk to a doctor before doing anything like Keto. It’s very popular right now but complex carbohydrates and fruits are good for you and good for baby as well. So, i would consult with a doctor before doing anything like that if I were you.
