Prometrium?

Anyone on progesterone suppositories/orals? I'm 8w5d. My levels at 6w was 4 and now it's 6.9. Dr. has me taking orals and suppositories at night before bed. I'm supposed to see my doctor again this week. Trying to not freak out.

My original post was from 2015. My baby is happy and healthy, she is 6 months (she came a month early!). So all the progesterone helped! Good luck to all with your pregnancies. Fingers crossed for healthy and safe and happy babies.

I started spotting last week (6w2d) and my HCG levels were doubling very slowly. Like 11 days. We all thought it was an imminent miscarriage. I asked that my progesterone be checked and it was 4.8. Should be between 10-40 and they prefer in the high teens at least. Everything I read said <5 has a 99% chance of miscarriage. Started progesterone 200 nightly while waiting for those results. Went up to 11.2 3 days later,HCG doubling in 5.5 days now. Doc upped me to 400 twice a day. Just left the doctors office and for the first time the baby was clearly visible with a heart beat of 160!!!  I haven't had any spotting or cramping since I started. Looks like low progesterone could be behind up to 35% of miscarriages. I had a miscarriage in March and the symptoms were so similar. It's sad to think that may have happened because no one bothered to check what seems to be such an important level. Thrilled that things are looking up. Hope you have a smooth and happy pregnancy!

I took oral progesterone until 13 weeks. My level was 19.1 when they tested around 7 weeks. I'm now 27w3d and everything is fine.

I was on the suppository until last week (12 weeks). I saw much more growth so knew it helped :)

At 5w my dr put me on the suppository my level was 14.5 which I thought was fine but she still prescribed it. Do you have any symptoms from taking it?

Do you remember how many mg you take orally & vaginally?

I'm 5w3d, and my doctor told me to do 2 promethium inserts 2x/day. When you say "levels" do you mean hcg levels from bloodwork? I only had an ultrasound when I went in bc I was concerned about spotting.
