26 Day Cycle...Success Stories. CAUTION:Venting ahead

Looking for success stories for those with a short cycle. Haven't been consistently charting but I'm motivated now. Only thing I need is a reliable thermometer. I have one of those cheapies from the dollar store to check for fever. I know it will happen when it happens...just anxiously waiting for it...being the only child my parents left behind has me tripping out....wooosaaaah! I feel so down when my period comes along. I feel like I'm not letting God handle the miracle behind conception then I also feel like I need to do my part and try. Everyone around me is having babies its so beautiful. Really praying my turn is around the corner 🙏😥💕. Might be a stupid question but how can I successfully track ovulation for myself. I get mid cycle pain and almost always get ewcm but when I was using opk last cycle I never got a solid positive. I know temping will point it out. What else can I do to up my odds. Plus hubs is a serious soda drinker so I'm always tryna find ways to make us more fertile. Really appreciate all your insights 😘
