1st Pregnancy check up.

I called my obgyn and told them I just found out I was pregnant and they told me that they would not be able to schedule me for an appointment until July 29th and I asked them why and they said that I had to be 7 weeks for them to actually see anything on ultrasound have anybody else ever experienced this or did you have a doctors appointment earlier. Because I'm thinking about goin to a different obgyn
