Job Questions

I’m currently a pre-k teacher and I absolutely love my job. There is no maternity leave pay at my job which is okay with me, I mean it would be nice but it is what it is. My biggest concern is while I am away, my room will either be expanded or changed in some way and I will have a coteacher because the person who replaces me won’t want to leave. Another concern is my pay will decrease when I come back. These are minor problems, I know, considering I am about to have a baby girl. I just want my career life to stay constant, I feel like that will be important for me when everything dies down. Should I get my boss to sign something saying these changes won’t be made? Or should I roll with the hand I’m dealt?
