Where should the introducing come from?

If your brother or sister gets into a new relationship. Brings the person over. Some would consider it rude not to talk to the new person or the new person not to talk to the family at the house. But let’s say someone won’t talk to the other without a proper introduction first. And never does when around.Who’s the one that you feel should be the one to initiate the introduction??? Hope I explained this well enough

I feel like the sibling bringing the new person over has the primary job to say “family this is my SO, SO this is my family” but beyond that, the conversation can just flow. SO should be willing to have a conversation but so should everyone else. Beyond the initial meeting, it’s no one’s “responsibility” to talk to anyone. It should just happen.

If i bring over anyone, wether its a friend  coworker,  family member.. I introduce them to the group of people we will encounter.  Thats just how that works.

My SO expected me to introduce myself to his family...needless to say, it was a terrible experience for everyone. His family has never liked me sense. 😬 id say the person bringing and SO should introduce. Probably even be there to help them get to know the family members at first. After things get comfortable, then everything should happen on their own

If I was person bringing I would introduce my family to my S/O  and I believe that would be the most appropriate way but if I was the family and that didn’t happen I would step up and introduce myself to meet them and if I was the new bf/gf and neither of those things happened o would step in and introduce my dang self lol and thank them for having me and what not.

The person bringing the new partner. They know everyone involved, and are best suited for introductions. That being said, if introductions aren’t made I would find it a bit absurd that neither family nor new partner feel they can talk to anyone.
