Anyone Else? Advice?

My son is almost 7 weeks old. He won't sleep in his bed, bassinet, pack n play, or anywhere longer than 30 minutes before realizing I'm not holding him and screaming.. He will sleep in my arms for 3-4 hours at a time but not anywhere else.. I don't understand..

Swaddle them in a tshirt of yours.

Wrap a tshirt of yours in a hot water bottle for a while then wrap lo in that in their basket. You could also put some used breast pads in for lo to smell

I had the same problem with my little one. He would not sleep unless he was with me. We co-slept for a about 6 weeks at night. During the day, I'd put him in his bassinet so he could get used to it. We have a bedtime routine- bath, baby massage, feeding with the lights dim and little noise. We use a fan as white noise. He's now 9 weeks old and has started sleeping in his bassinet the whole night. I plan on transitioning him into the crib when he can sleep all the way through the night. I have found that a pacifier helps him sleep. If he starts to wake up, I give it to him and he falls right back to sleep. Unless he's hungry, then the pacifier doesn't work. It's been a long tiring process, but we are making progress and I'm getting more sleep.

Do you have a bedtime routine? You want to give them healthy sleep associations and a routine can help them do that. Do the same things in the same order every night and then a shortened version of the routine for naps. Ex. We turn off lights, light a candle, close blinds, diaper change and swaddle up, put on a lullaby playlist, nurse, daddy reads good night moon, white noise on, rock or bounce until sleepy and then put down in bassinet. 
If you can let him practice falling asleep on his own he will start to develop this skill. Put him down when he is drowsy or almost asleep and see if he can really fall asleep on his own. If he cries or fusses give him a minute to try to work it out, if it escalates pick him up and give him some soothing movement and try again. It may take a couple of weeks but remember sleeping by yourself and soothing yourself is a learned and it isn't easy!

My daughter is the same she's 14 weeks now. It's because babies love the warmth and smell of us. My daughtr loves hearing my heartbeat too.
