Beginning stages of RA...help!
So I’m 28 yrs old and about 8 months ago was diagnosed with the beginning stages of RA and fibromyalgia. Over the last few months it’s worsened very quickly. It’s to the point of my knuckles swelling and I can barely use my hands. I’m constantly dropping things and can’t function properly most of the day. I just started a new job in May working as a behavior therapist with special needs children and it physically hurts me so bad. What I’m trying to figure out is, at what point does the pain get too much to continue working? I don’t want to seem like a failure to my family but it’s getting to the point that it hurts so bad to even get out of bed in the mornings. I cry so often to myself when I’m alone because no one really knows how bad it hurts. I’m currently taking gabapentin and plaquenil, both twice a day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
