So im 40 wks 2morro and went to triage today as was worried i was leaking fluid. Turned out to be discharge all fine. I asked her to see if i was dilated at all and apparently im not even 1cm and cervix is still 'long and hard' How can i be 40 wks and not at all dilated?! I see ladies on here who are weeks, months less pregnant than me who are dilated?! I have constant tightening which she says is braxton hicks, but the only sign of any progress is babies head was 3/5 engaged last monday. Anyone else not dilated then go into labour quickly after? They dont induce here until 42 wks unless a prob- i feel like im never going to meet our baby at this rate :(
