How do I keep a happy relationship?

Hi my names Gabi and I’m 17 and so is my bf. :) We have been together for almost a year and we were good friends before that. We are both very happy atm and are planning big things ahead. I believe we will last but I just want to know any good tips on how to keep our love and happiness.

It’s a cliché answer but communication!!! My husband and I also always say I love you even if we’re upset or arguing (idk if that’s normal or not lmao). Do little things for each other once in a while, or go on a really nice date occasionally. I feel like once people fall into routines with each other they stop going on actual dates.
