Is anyone else's SO unsupportive during your pregnancy?

My SO is so fucking unsupportive. Sometimes I get so weak & can't finish cleaning or I don't feel like cleaning. He just says I'm lazy & being pregnant is no excuse. I just want him gone & as far away from me as possible!!!!

Also if he gets mad you can't clean as much or cook etc.  then he's probably the lazy one and needs to learn to do shit for himself. You aren't his maid.

Hang in there you aren't alone. My SO is supportive, but I feel like it's just supportive words sometimes. Like he isn't taking having a child seriously. If your SO seriously said that, he needs a slap of reality. He is NO GOOD. father of your child or not, you are a pregnant woman, and for the health of you and your baby, you need a lot of time to rest and nurture your body. He sounds like the lazy one to me. Hang in there and don't take any Bs!!! <3 <3

That's a little much! I fully prepared my husband for what I was going to go through, so when he sees me sleeping during the day...he says nothing except "were you able to get better sleep today?"
I think that is so disrespectful of him to say that to you! Instead of explaining it to him, have a professional like a doctor explain it to him.

No no no that is so NOT ok! My husband has never called me lazy pregnant or not. I work and he works and he pays all the bills plus helps with the house work. I can go days without doing anything and he doesn't say a word. He makes sure I eat enough drink enough and take my prenatals. Rubs my back and checks on me through out the day. We went to the beach today and he carried everything at once because he didn't want me to over heat. You deserve to be treated better then that pregnant or not.

My husband is very supportive, this is our first so neither knew what to expect.  I've had days when all I want to do is sleep and some days I'm very nauseous (even the mere thought of food smells made me gag) and through it all he's been caring.  We have been very 50/50 in our relationship from the beginning so it's never been "my duty" to cook or clean for him but I do take on a bit more around the house than he does (mostly because I like things done a certain way) but he's just fine with picking up more household duties if I'm unable to.  If your relationship hasn't been 50/50 then it may be tough to break him of the old school mentality that he seems to have. I would recommend having him go with you to an OB appointment and have the doctor inform your SO on the changes going on in your body and how your being tired isn't due to laziness but because you are growing a life inside of you. Also he downloaded the Glow app and I feel it does a good job at letting him see the progress our baby is making and what symptoms are effecting me and why.

Mine was mad I was always sleeping in the beginning, I don't think he understood how fast pregnancy changes you. Now he is starting to get it more. He makes sure I eat enough, is sympathetic to my pains and changes. He makes jokes about little stuff but I do too. He always runs my tummy and makes sure the baby hears "daddy loves you more than anything" every single day. I can't say our relationship is on the best terms right now, for no pregnancy reasons, but he is trying to understand and be supportive and care for our child.

I stayed home from work Tuesday because I could hardly move, i was so stiff and sore. The only thing my husband said is "since you stayed home all day, the house should be clean". Are you kidding me!? He isn't a supportive person in general, but I hoped it might change with me being pregnant. Guess not.
