I work for a small company and have been for six years and moved up in the company in that time. Prior to announcing my pregnancy I was promised two management positions and didn’t get either and then given a project that no one wanted to think about or deal with and made sure that I had it under control and profitable for the company. When I went on leave I left in management of one of my bosses who ran it while I was out. I’ve been back for three weeks and am no longer doing that project or anything equivalent but basically been demoted in my eyes to something that I was doing two years ago. I feel trapped and feel I am not taken seriously or respected. I want to work here but wish the employer wouldn’t be so flaky and unprofessional on this.

If I was to leave I don’t believe I could get my current salary and we are needing it now more then ever.
