Anyone TTC or has concieved purposely after being on Depo?

We're starting to get really discouraged because still no period and all the pregnancy tests are negative, even at the doctors. Does anyone have any advice? Would going on the pill for a few months make my peeiod come back and help me track for ovulation? I've heard it helps, but I'm not sure.

I was on the depo for 9 months, I've been off it for 2 and a half years now, and only been getting periods for the past 4/5 months, and still no luck with pregnancy 😔

My mom got pregnant a month after coming off depo but she had not had any periods yet

I was on Depo for over a year and quit getting my shot before my first wedding. It took me 6 months to get pregnant after I took my last shot. In fact, I didn't realize I was pregnant for over 2 months because my periods hadn't even regulated yet. 
I've also heard other stories where it took a year for girls to even get their periods back, much less to start ovulating regularly. I don't think going on the pill would affect that though, unless there were other factors.
