C section?!?!

So I'm scheduled to have my c section at 39 weeks, on 8/3/15. Is it to early at 39 weeks? Or should I change it to 8/7/15 when I'm 41 weeks 2 days? What do y'all think?

If you are a scheduled c section they are going to schedule it at 38-39 weeks to make sure you don't go into natural labor and have complications

Why are you scheduled for a c/s?? There is a reason why they schedule it prior to your due date. They would not want you to come in while in rip roaring labor and have to do an emergent section. If if it scheduled, it is to to try and have it planned so it can be done under calm circumstances. So I would not push the date back if it were me. Hope that helps

I had my daughter at 38 1/2 weeks via induction she was natural and weighed 5lbs 11 oz, and she was healthy and fine. I wouldn't worry all that much about 39 weeks. Did they say why they wanted to do it at 39 weeks?

Mine is scheduled for 39 weeks as well (8-10). It is scheduled a week early because there is less of a chance of going into labor and preventing the need for an emergency c-section.

I had my first at exactly 39 weeks and he's a happy, healthy nearly 4 year old.  Second is scheduled for exactly 39 weeks. I have zero worries about delivering at 39 weeks.

They always schedule my c-sections at 39 weeks so I don't go into labor. 😝 I wish I could go natural though!

I'm also scheduled to have a csection at 39 weeks and it will be on 8/6. My first son came 4 weeks early and after 30 hours if labor, 2 hours of pushing with no progress I ended up have a c section. So if we make it past 37 weeks I will be happy! Good luck!
