Biting before it’s time to teeth?
My daughter is 13 weeks for old and within the last 3 days has started wanting to be attached to me all the time. I have the wonderweeks app and this new act falls right in line with her gestational age leap which is due this week so I’m not worried BUT I am wondering if the clamping down on my nipple will stop.
She doesn’t have any teeth and I don’t think she is teething this early but she is literally locking her damn jaw around my nipple and mashing it with her gums. It hurts so bad! Is this a normal reaction for babies when they are going through something and/or in pain/confused or should I call the pediatrician? If this is what teething is like all you EBF Mothers are saints because this sucks.
I’m wondering if this has something to do with me trying to get her to take a bottle too. 🤔 I am going back to work July 23rd and have been trying to get my daughter to take a bottle which she will not do but we still practice with a pacifier and bottle daily. Maybe she is biting me like she does those? Could be why we are failing miserably at learning how to use them correctly.
I don’t know. I guess my question is, did anyone else’s baby do this to them this early and do you know or have a theory as to why it’s happening or happened to you?
