Testing out trigger

I took a test last night (7dpiui & 9dpt) to see if the trigger was still in my system and it was negative. Does that mean the trigger hormones are gone? Sorry I’m new to this.. does that mean the IUI failed? Or could there possibly not be enough HCG to defect on an at home test if I was pregnant?
