I’m seriously in disgust over this case. What are your thoughts?

He robbed and killed someone, I don’t agree with the death penalty at all but if another person were to do the same and have the death penalty then it is what it is.

Anyways, the punishment fits the crime. He killed someone. Although I disagree with the death penalty, if that’s the punishment by law, he deserves it.

The jury failed in my opinion. They were biased enough to let his sexuality influence their decision on sentencing. As a juror, you’re supposed to remain unbiased and follow the law, even with sentencing. Those questions were loaded ... prison isn’t sunshine and rainbows for gay men. It isn’t, “look at all the meat I get to have on a daily basis, life in prison is fabulous.” That isn’t how prison works at all.

I think this article is very biased as well like usually when people stab someone to death it’s gruesome the article doesn’t say much about the case it says more about the fact that he was gay and that’s why he got the death penalty basically but I mean if you take out the fact that he’s gay he’s a man that stabbed someone to death that takes a lot of anger like how many times did he stab the man yah know

I don't agree with the death penalty at all and this is one of the reasons why.
 Sentencing bias is real, and it shouldn't be life or death. 
That being said, I don't know enough information to know if the lawsuit would go anywhere

The jury is seriously misguided if they think for a second a gay man would enjoy prison. This story is depressing for so many reasons.

If these people think prison is a gay mans paradise they are seriously stupid. That being said he did kill a man so the death penalty is a totally valid punishment in our current justice system. I don’t agree with it or the reasons given in the article that he received it as his sentence, but he also shouldn’t have killed a man.
