What does everyone think about a couple who won't allow children at their wedding?

Haha! They are definitely not jerks. Weddings are very expensive, everything has a cost- food, beverages, rental chairs and tables, linens, rental glasses and silverware, etc.. Some venues charge by head count. Literally every detail has a price. The wedding day is about the couple and they should have the wedding they want without criticism. We welcomed children at our wedding, but we also made it clear that parents needed to be in charge of their kids. We didn't hire babysitters and our venue was a ranch with a number of hazards (like barbed wire and a pond). We included that in the reception details so that parents could make an informed decision about bringing their kids. We had the luxury of being able to accommodate children without it inflating our costs much, but many people do not and finances are generally the main concern when wedding planning. 
The day is about the couple, not their guests :)

My sister is having a no kid wedding I feel it's there choice she and her soon to be hubby don't have any kids it's an evening reception and it's a sit down formal wedding her thought is I'm not paying 35$ a plate for a bunch of kids I get it I'm looking forward to it an all adult evening woo hoop we are all renting hotel rooms at the reception place and all the kids will go upstairs and the big ones will watch the lil ones

Depends. My cousin is getting married and it's not kids allowed. To be fair they are paying $150 per person! So I'm just not going 😞 I love my kids too much especially since #2 will only be weeks old! I respect their choice. It's an expensive wedding so I get it. Personally, my wedding will be "family friendly" be it's something I want to share with ALL of my family members but I get their decision...especially since they don't have kids of their own.

I didn't have any children at my wedding. Children would have been a big added expense. And I didn't want my friends having to play mommy and daddy all night...I wanted them to be able to celebrate with us. I got married young, at 23...so we had an evening wedding that went late into the night. 5 years later, we have attended weddings with and without or son. I can tell you it was a much more enjoyable night without having to worry about my son theowing fos, a tantrum, getting tired and having to leave etc.

Not jerks but for some it can be a problem. My aunt in laws sister is getting married and she said no kids. Aka no under 18. Which is crap, I could understand for the reception but the actual ceremony? Plus teens can at least behave theirselves. My young cousin said 'we'll if she doesn't want us there then she's not a part of this family any longer!'

Haha, but really it's the couples choice, I just don't see a problem with it but I guess if it makes sense to them it's ok. I won't be having a big wedding at all, probably no ceremony, so  don't understand everything to do with it.

My family always has all the kids at weddings but my husbands family is always no kids at the weddings...personally I think it is a fun and happy occasion like a baby shower and I think kids should be involved.  It also gives them a chance to see distant relatives and helps them socialize.  Besides, who doesn't enjoy seeing the babies getting their wiggles out on the dance floor!!!

In my opinion, children should most definitely be part of the best day of your lives to witness it and create memories. When i hear of a childless wedding i just get frustrated. I would want children there because they are family, regardless of age. Thats like saying "oh we dont think we want the elderly there". Its just very sad. Instead of ruling them out completely atleast have them at the ceremony then for a short while at the reception. After all you have all that night to get pissed then you have your honeymoon for week(s). Each to their own i guess.
