up until your 18 a three year gap is such a grey area. For me though if my daughter was thirteen dating a 16year old.....id lose my shit🤷‍♀️ just because 16has so much more on a 13 year old. like its not a big difference but it actually is. If that makes sense

Idk I would generally say yes, but the younger you are, the larger these age gaps seem. A 13 year old and 16 year old is really different in my opinion at this age, but as long as you guys works and you follow the laws about sex then it’s fine.

It’s ok but I would advise against its a thirteen year old is a middle schooler. A 16 year old is a high schooler. That’s a BIG difference.

I’d say wait until the age of consent in your state (even if you’re not planning on having sex) to have an age gap more than 1.5 years to avoid getting the older person in trouble. If you’re at least of age, even if under 18, the consequences probably won’t be as severe

My boyfriend and I are 2 and a half years apart and we couldn’t be happier we met when I was in grade 10 and he was in grade 12 honestly it just matter about maturity!

In my opinion, I really don’t see anything wrong with it. When I first started dating my SO I was 14 and he was 17. I also was really mature for my age and felt as if I was on the same level as him. Therefore, yes there is a gap but if you can relate and be on the same level of maturity then I feel like it’s fine.
If you continue the relationship and he turns 18 depending on your state, you may need to check your laws between minor relationships 
From where I am from (Texas) there is a Romeo Juliet law that protects a relationship between minors and adults stating that if the minor is at least 15 with no more than a 4 year age difference then it’s okay!
