Missed day

For birth control I didn’t take my pill the time I was suppose too and the next day I took it In the morning without taking two. So I went from taking it at 8pm to 8am and missed one day of taking it. I didn’t take two pills the next day I just took one. It’s been 8 days. Should I be protected again? (Now taking the pill in the am.)
