So my husband and I have been ttc since February and I’m not entirely open about it but if someone asks if we’re trying I say yes. And my mother knows we’re trying because I told her one time after I was 5 days late how horrible my period was and had asked her if that’s how it was for her after she came off bc long ago. Anyway, my older brother is getting married in December and recently his fiancé told my mom that they want to have kids right away (they at both older than me and in their mid 30s) well now that’s all my mom freakin talks about. So like today I just walked into her bakery to get coffee and she’s all giddy and she’s like “we got dinner with Ann and mike (brother fiancé parents) And they said alicia told them they are going to have kids by March! “ and while I’m excited to have kids around the same time as them I kinda feel like wtf we’re just skipping over me! As if my husband and I aren’t trying to too!!!

The same thing happened before our wedding, at my dads retirement party (I was engaged already at this point) and my mom was telling people my brother was engaged too! When they weren’t! It’s like she was totally skipping over me then too ugh I just needed to vent. I’m not really sure if I should say something or just ignore it and let it go.
