milk loss???

so i EBF my 7 week old. she usually nurses every hour &45 mins to 2 hours....recently shes been going 3 or 3.5hours til she wants to nurse... since she wants to nurse an hour or over later will my milk supply lessen? Is this normal?

Yes. Your body will regulate to her needs. It may take a few days but it will.

My little one is 7 weeks old too. She has been sleeping about 5-6 hours at night, at first I would get up and pump after 3 hours until my lactation consultant told me to just express enough to get comfortable. I know there is a good chance she will not keep this sleeping habit up around the 4 month mark, so I was afraid she wouldn't have enough milk then, but the lc told me it will build back up when she needs it. I don't have to wake up anymore (it regulated after about one week). If you want to build a stash in the freezer than that would be a great time to pump. My lo only eats off of one breast sometimes so I pump then. I have about 40oz saved

It won’t become less as such, your body will adjust to baby’s needs. There’s nothing worse than an over supply and not being able to pump or feed when you’re engorged.

She’s just getting older and will go longer. As long as she is emptying the milk you’ll keep making more. If you’re concerned pump in between her eating
