Milk allergy - anyone with any experience on this? We just got diagnosed

My 9 mo baby who is exclusively breast fed just got diagnosed with a milk allergy but the doc didn’t tell me to stop my diary intake. I am so worried - anyone have any tips ? I really hope he outgrows it 🙇🏽‍♀️ did your kid outgrow it? What age ?
I don’t limit my diary at all and his poop had been so gooey not sure if it’s mucousy and he seems happy and fine otherwise speaking.

My baby has a milk allergy too and I had to cut dairy out of my diet for a while. I would say it’s been a few months. My little guy is almost 9 months old and now is able to eat cheese but also has an egg allergy. The only thing that I haven’t added back into my diet is actual milk which I’m scared to try until he stops breastfeeding. I would say definitely cut dairy out for a month and see if you notice a difference.

I am confused as to why they didn’t tell you to stop eating dairy🤔
Several months ago we were trying to rule our dairy as being a problem for my BF daughters eczema and the doc had me stop dairy for a month (because dairy takes that long to get out of your system). 
Honestly I’d call the doc and ask if you’re supposed to stop. Maybe they forgot to mention it?

I developed a milk allergy when I was younger it affects me when its heavy cream items like vitamin d milk, heavy cream, mayo,processed cheeses some ice creams. I just get fat free milk items when I can. if I do eat something dairy that bothers me my throat starts getting scratchy and like my throat feels like its closing up some and I cant get my throat cleared. i feel like it goes away after about 15 minutes of me trying to clear my throat.

I have a milk allergy! When I was around your LO age, I was diagnosed. I’ve slightly outgrown it, it’s more of an intolerance now but I never touch dairy since it makes me sick.

My daughter is allergic to egg, so I had to cut that completely out of my diet. Including things with baked egg/egg washes/literally anything that deals with eggs. Around 13 months she passed her baked egg food challenge, so I was able to bring that into my diet. And now she is 27 months and passed her scratch test, and blood work for egg. We just need to set up the oral challenge but it’s looking like she completely outgrew it. 
If your baby has an allergy and you’re nursing, I would definitely cut that food item completely out of your diet. Have you spoken with an Allergist?
