My little one is 4 months old. For the past month at least, she screams and cries when I get her ready for a nap. I can't complain too much because she does sleep through the night. However, getting her to fall asleep for naps is a total nightmare ! I'll swaddle her (I've tried arms in, arms out, one arm in/one arm out, sleep sack), then take her to the bedroom where it is dark with white noise and her pacifier. I've tried laying her down drowsy but she becomes wide awake and cried when I lay her down, even if I keep a hand on her and shush her. I've tried the CIO (she will calm down after crying for about 10 minutes, then cry again after 5). I've tried getting her ready 30 minutes prior to nap time, but it seems like everytime I do that, it takes 3 times as long to get her to fall asleep and so much more frustration ! I had been letting her try to fall asleep in the swing because she has to have movement to fall asleep 😒 also, her naps only last for 30 min each. if I get lucky, I can get one 2 or 3 hour nap once in a while. what other advice can you momma's give me ?
