I came across an article saying how using the puzzle piece for autism was wrong. Their argument was that it represents the child being puzzling along with autism being puzzling, so not understandable. I have worked with kids who have autism and I was always so proud to carry the symbol with me since they have all been sweethearts. I see the puzzle piece as everyone is a piece and we are all connected. It's an inclusive symbol that connects everyone no matter what our 'shape' is. What's your view? Is the puzzle piece the wrong symbol or right one? If it's wrong, why and what should replace it?
