The pill- how long will it take to work?

I started the pill on this Wednesday and my last period was on the 11-17 of June
How long will it take for it to be in full effect, so I can stop using condoms?
My nurse told me that it would take 2 days but I just wanted to be sure

probably depends on the pill.. my doctor told me when I was on a certain pill I needed condoms the first month.

Most pills take around 7-10days to work fully(at least all the info inserts I have seen) my doctor advised us to use a condom for 10-14days just to be on the safe side.

A week usually. I wouldn’t trust a nurse saying two days, if your GYNECOLOGIST didn’t say two days, don’t think it is two days. Nurses don’t know as much as doctors, be safe and wait the typical one week most doctors tell patients to wait. That’s usually how long it takes any birth control pill to work, a few brands take even longer.
