I loved the Marina! Never had a problem what so ever out of it for me but it did poke my husband when we had sex. I just went in and had the string trimmed some. I had it in the full 5 years. And will more than likely get it back once I have our baby.

Not while it was in but may be having issues trying to conceive now.

After my son was born i had the paragaurd for about a year and it fell out and got an infection in my uterus from the iud .then got it again and got very sick that i ended up getting copper posioning in my liver.dr said no it wasnt from my iud.i was sick for 6 months on medication from the copper posioning and had jaundice due to my liver being poisoned.after six months it fell out again and decided i wouldn't be on bc ever again.had a follow up 3months later and my liver was healthy and no more copper poisoning in my body.dr still denied it was the iud then i told her well what a coincidence my iud is out and im better she try to make me sound like i was crazy.thats why i refuse to take no more bc ever again .i also heard something really bad abiut paragaurd and conceiving

I had the mirena for two years and had my period every month. The last 6 months I was constantly cramping throughout the entire month and I just got tired of it. That being said, both my sister in laws had it and they never had any problems.

I had one and after a few weeks my body rejected it and I was at work and started having horrible pain and went to the ER only to find it was coming out of my cervix and I had to have it removed right away so ut didn't puncture into anything else down there!

I had the copper iud after 4 1/2 years with it an got pregnant had a very hi risk pregnancy because of it

I got my mirena removed in March of 2012 got pregnant shortly after in July of 2012. Had an eptopic/tubal pregnancy. I did a lot of research after I experienced this heartache and due to the amount of the progesteone in your system, it slows down the fertilazed egg in the tube. They are fine to prevent pregnancy if placed right in your uterus, however, I do not recommend trying to conceive shortly after having it removed!

Me! I got pregnant on it. Didn't know till I was 12 weeks so was too late to take it out or would harm the baby. I did end up losing the baby a few weeks after. Also had a lot of headaches and dizzy spells.

Two of my friends were rushed to the ER soon after getting IUDs put in... In theory it seems like a perfect solution, but I've heard so many horror stories I don't know if I'm convinced...

mine caused me severe pain because it ended up getting stuck in my poor uterus a funny way... had to be put under and have it surgically removed. bled for 2 weeks straight, got pregnant 3 weeks later and miscarried. I would never get one again!
